Hi and hello to anyone who remembers me!

Am living happily in England with my British husband, Andrew.  We have officially passed our first year and are heading into our second year of marriage.

Due to my husband wanting to go back to his hometown of Bristol, here in the UK and not in Tennessee, folks!, he put in for a transfer and actually got it.  Of course, we didn't get advanced warning, so our house didn't officially go on the market until after he had been traveling up to Bristol by train for at least two weeks.

It is a two hour drive by train up to Bristol, so guess who is doing a lot of traveling until we move house?!  He doesn't like the commuting time, but he is going to be closer to his Mum and sister.

I am enjoying living here in the windy country.  The winds are blowing at 22 mph and gusting around 40 mph right now.  Apparently we are getting the end of Hurricane Gordon.  No rain at this time, but a lot of wind.  Does dry the clothes on the line quicker, I must say.

So far everyone has been nice talking to me and most of the younger folks want to know why my husband didn't move to America.  They would in a heartbeat  America still seems to be the ideal place to move to, if you are young apparently.

I am hoping that my husband and I will retire to America, when the time comes.  He seems to be amenable to that.  I look forward to the trip home to visit family and friends each year for now.  We have been able to do that so far.  It helps to have family to crash with, since we have to rent a car for our time there.

I hope to attend the next reunion with my husband if that is possible, so please keep in touch.
